The Muskego Water Bugs are excited to present our 30th annual 3rd of July Independence Day Celebration! This event is organized, planned, staffed, and fundraised solely by the Water Bugs to allow our program to continue free ski shows throughout the summer for the community and we appreciate all of your support!
When: Friday, July 3rd opening to the public at 2PM

Ski show presented by the Muskego Waterbugs at 6pm.

Festival Food Fireworks Show at dusk!

Come and enjoy our selection of food trucks and small vendors highlighting local Muskego businesses! Corn roast and concessions offered by the Muskego Waterbugs. Food and beverages will be available.
Fireworks Viewing
The fireworks show is launched off of barges on Little Muskego Lake with viewing occurring from land and water. Limited parking is available on city streets surrounding the lake.
Parking & Arrival

Parking for the event is a $10 donation that benefits the Muskego Water Bugs and the Muskego Police Cadet Program.

All traffic wishing to drop off at Idle Isle Park will enter Muskego Dr. from Martin Dr. (SEE MAP BELOW)

Can I get to the Beach before 2pm to reserve a Firework Spot?

Unfortunately, no. The beach and Idle Isle Park will be closed to the public beginning at 10pm 7/2 until the event begins at 2pm on the 3rd.

Is the boat launch open at Idle Isle Park?

Due to the park being closed the boat launch is not available at idle isle park. Several other launch sites are available throughout Little Muskego Lake that are accessible.

Is the Event cashless?

Just the opposite! The muskego waterbugs are a cash event! We also accept venmo for waterbugs purchases. Some of our vendors have the ability to accept credit cards.

Are carry-ins allowed?

Alcoholic carry-ins are not allowed to the event. The muskego waterbugs will offer a selection of various beers and seltzers available for purchase.

Is there ADA parking available?

Yes! There is ADA available parking at Park Arthur. Shuttle Service is available on a revolving basis by our volunteers.

Note: Due to high traffic at the conclusion of the fireworks, shuttle service may be limited. Please coordinate with our volunteers or the Muskego PD if assistance is needed returning to your vehicle.
